JP Meyer (born 1960) is an artist and ceramicist who currently lives and works in Porterville. In 1996 he swapped corporate life for that of a full-time art student, graduating four years later with a Diploma in Fine Art (Painting), from The Foundation School of Art in Cape Town.

He divides his days in the studio between painting figurative works on canvas and painting designs on slip-cast ceramics. The designs that he uses for the ceramics are inspired by his love for pattern and repetition. Each mark or line is painted free style with a small brush and glaze.

He regularly participates in group and joint exhibitions and has collaborated with a number of artists and ceramicists over the years. To date he has mounted ten solo exhibitions and his work is in the collections of Hollards, Didata, Sasol, Nandos UK and Rand Merchant Bank.
